Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
1. Who we are
Seedha Kanoon is a business-law template and legal-education platform. This policy explains what information our own website collects when you visit it, use our free tools, or purchase a template.
2. What we actually collect, honestly
We would rather under-claim than over-claim here. As of this policy's last update:
- The Contract Health Checklist and the "Find your template" quiz run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, stored by us, or seen by us in any form — they exist only on your device while you're using the tool, and disappear when you close or refresh the page.
- Standard hosting logs are generated automatically by our hosting provider (technical data like IP address, browser type, and pages visited) — this is infrastructure-level logging common to virtually every website, not something we actively collect or analyse ourselves.
- If you contact us (email, contact form once available), we receive whatever you send us — your name, email address, and message content — solely to respond to you.
- If you purchase a template, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details — the processor handles this directly under their own security standards.
3. Why this list is short right now
This website does not currently require account creation, does not track you across other sites, and does not sell or share data with advertisers. If that changes as the site grows — for example, if we add optional accounts to track your purchase history — this policy will be updated first, and the change will be dated and explained here, not made silently.
4. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
Where applicable, you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure, and file a grievance about how your data is handled. India's DPDP Rules are being implemented in phases through 2027 — we will keep this section current as that rollout progresses.
| Right | How to exercise it |
|---|---|
| Access / correction | Email us at the contact address below |
| Erasure | Email us; we will confirm once data is deleted |
| Grievance redressal | Email us; we aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe consistent with applicable law |
5. Cookies
This website does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future (to understand which pages are useful, in aggregate, not to identify individuals), this section will be updated to disclose exactly what's used and why.
6. Third parties who may process data on our behalf
- Our hosting provider (for serving the website itself)
- A payment processor (only if and when you make a purchase)
We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be described here directly rather than buried in a version history.
